I have played a brass instrument since the age of ten and started to learn the cornet while at Primary School.  As a teenager I had many opportunities to perform and played in various bands:

The Cockshut Hill School Band

 The Birmingham Schools Wind Orchestra

Arden Forest Corps Of Drums

   Shirley Brass Band

I became principle cornet with my School Band and the Birmingham Schools Wind Orchestra and played solo cornet with Shirley Brass Band.

My performences took me to many venues both in England and abroad with travels to Vienna and Germany.  Performances include the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Town Hall, Fairfield Halls Croydon.

Having attained Grade Eight I attended Trinity College of Music, London where I studied cornet for a year with Norman Watson, then a trumpeter with The BBC Symphony Orchestra.

I also played with Regent Brass for 12 years a Championship Section Brass Band.Starting on cornet I changed to E flat Tenor Horn.Have recently gone back to Regent Brass after a break and am enjoying playing again.
